Kolin, M.D., Principal Investigator Dr. Kolin completed his internship in Pediatrics and residency in Psychiatry, with a Teaching Fellowship and Fellowship in Child Psychiatry at Cornell University Medical Center, New York Presbyterian Hospital-Payne Whitney Clinic in New York City. Dr. Kolin is a Courtesy Clinical Associate Professor at University of Florida College of Medicine and Associate Professor at University of Central Florida College of Medicine. Dr. Kolin has been listed by Best Doctors in America since 1996 and in Top Doctors since 1999. Dr. Kolin is a Distinguished Life Fellow of the American Psychiatric Association and Life Fellow of the American College of Psychiatrists. Goldstein, M.D., Sub-Investigator Dr. Goldstein graduated University of South Florida College of Medicine, completed an residency in Psychiatry at University of Connecticut, and Fellowship in Child and Adolescent Psychiatry at University of Florida. Karen Kolin, Chief Clinical Study Coordinator Karen came to the medical field though television, where she was a CNN Headline News Health Producer and a Programming Manager for AccentHealth's Waiting Room Network. Karen also served as a CNN Health News producer on daily medical/health-related stories and a weekly health magazine program. She earned an Emmy Award for her coverage in 1996. Karen graduated from Washington University in St. Louis with a Bachelor of Arts Degree in Psychology with a Concentration in Industrial and Organizational Psychology. Mary Lou Sirois, Senior Clinical Study Coordinator Raised and educated in Boston, Mary Lou developed a career at Children’s Hospital Boston/Dana-Farber as lead technician and lab manager for the Department of Neuropathology. Mrs. Sirois has worked in more than 100 clinical trials with the Kolin Research Group. Raquel A. Selig, M.S.W., L.C.S.W., Mental Health Counselor Raquel has been counseling with children, adults, and families for over 15 years. A native of Central Florida, she spent five years in private practice in Boston, MA and the last five years in private practice in Florida. In addition, Raquel has worked in schools, psychiatric inpatient units, and a world-renowned residential treatment center, providing counseling and guidance. After receiving a Bachelor's degree in elementary education from the University of South Florida, Raquel completed her Master's degree at Boston University. Barbara Ferris, M.A., L.M.F.T., Mental Health Counselor Barbara Ferris has worked in the substance abuse/mental health field in both the public and the private sector for over 30 years. She has an ongoing interest in women’s issues related to women’s sexuality and their reproductive health with particular emphasis on pre-natal/post-partum care. She is in private practice and works with the Kolin Research Group.
